Gingham is a fabric that originated in Indonesia and during the dutch colonization of Indonesia they brought it over to Europe. Europeans loved this woven plaid fabric so much that they began to design gingham curtains. Gingham is so popular today that it is used on more than just curtains. Tablecloths, clothes and blankets use gingham style and fabric. Gingham kitchen curtains are certainly the most popular use. They just look so good in a kitchen and when paired with a tablecloth then it becomes a lovely sight. The colors are as varied as a rainbow and there isn't any particular color that is dominates other colors in sales. Gingham curtains are also great in other rooms throughout the house. Kids rooms, dining rooms and even living rooms.

Gingham curtains in a baby's room. If you are thinking about decorating a baby room for you soon to be newborn then a pink and white gingham curtains for a female would look great. A baby blue with white would also look great in a baby boy's room. The soft colors will look great with a baby's bedding. You can even find matching sheets to go along with the gingham curtain.

Gingham curtains in the kitchen are also great because they make the kitchen look great. You simply can't mess up decorating a kitchen with these curtains. They look great with practically all kitchen appliances and all colors of kitchen cabinets.

Gingham curtains in the living room are also great and you don't have to get the large sized plaid patterns. Just like tiny flower patterns you can also but gingham curtains that have tiny plaid patterns. A soft yellow will look great especially if you live in a state with plenty of sunshine. The fabric you choose can be whatever you want but from my personal experience a cotton is the natural look for thse curtains. Sure you will have to wash them more often but they will be worth it. Then again i dislike synthetic materials so if you're into fake plants and plastic then by all means get a polyester gingham curtains.

Probably the best room for them after the kitchen and baby room would be the family room. They simply go with everything and unlike some curtains they are never depressing to look at over time. If you are unsure then what you can do is get a curtains for your kitchen and take it from there. If you like them a lot then think about getting some for other rooms in your house.
